First held in 2003, the Wales Care Awards are an annual fixture in the social care calendar and have helped to raise the status and profile of the work of the social care workforce in Wales.
The generous support of our sponsors makes it possible to invite guests from more than 100 representative organisations from the public, voluntary and private sectors.
Each year there are 21 awards ranging from excellence in leadership and management to nurse of the year, excellence in catering to dementia care.
You can nominate a colleague or team of colleagues for one of the 18 categories of award at the Wales Care Awards 2016. Three special awards - Dignity in Care, Spirit of Care and the Craig Thomas Lifetime Achievement Award are presented on the night and chosen from the list of nominees in the other 18 categories.
Nominations for the 2016 Wales Care Awards are currently open – and close on March 31.

The Awards took place on Friday November 6, 2015 at City Hall, Cardiff. They were hosted by BBC Wales' Lucy Owen with entertainment from singer Sioned Terry (listen to a clip of Sioned Terry singing at the 2013 awards).
